The Kureta Mountains are one of Kjanu’s defining natural features. Located in central Kjanu, these mountains span from Okabun to Naka-Nishikawa, and contain the highest point in all of Kjanu, the peak of Sezu Mountain. Due to unique geological conditions, these mountains are also full of caves, allowing adventurous tourists to experience both the highs and lows of Kjanuan geology.

The Kureta mountains are the most significant part of the Sezukan mythos and play a significant role in Kjanu's history, hosting cities such as Modagami and Neo Neo Neo Jhanthu within its peaks. The Mountains were worshiped as the birthplace of Sezu, patron god of Sezuka, and as such are littered with some of the largest temples in Kjanu, many of which welcome tourists willing to make the hike. The mountains also offer many oppertnities to exploration-minded visitor, with their many summits and caves there is plenty for visitors to discover.
